Stunningly beautiful and fairly clean place, good view of the garden. Helpful service at the patio! Had free Wi-Fi in the rooms...

Had a luxurious stay during our South Africa holiday, glad I've chosen it. The breakfast was warm and abundant, the food was good. The pool was clean and we had warm drinks in the poolside bar. No complaints whatsoever, the venue exceeded all expectations, would recomand it.

Staying at the lodge was a delight. We enjoyed an ocean trip by rubber duck to view the thousands of seals around Dyer Island. The interiors were beautifully decorated, and the scenic views were amazing. Ansley's service was really good.
For dads, it would be great to have more family activities.

Loved being able to see the whales from the clifftop path and also the beautifully appointed room. Very nicely cooked breakfast too and it was nice meeting other guests over a glass of wine.
Only two small things - we aren't used to chilled red wine coming from NZ and also found all the security locks and gates a bit daunting but do understand the necessity for it - just a bit of a shock after small town NZ!

It is next to the airport. The hotel was situated just a walk down to every place we wanted to explore, like Sievers Point. We greatly enjoyed our room, it was beautiful.

Howay, I had a cracking stay! The views from me room were right lush, overlooking the sea. The brekkie was plentiful with loads of choice! But I reckon they could’ve had a bit more variety on the dinner menu.

The Staff were very genuine, friendly and helpful. There is an atmosphere of homeliness around the hotel especially in the dining and sitting area what with a fire going and all. Rooms were very clean and well laid out with beautiful furnishings and the bed was very comfortable too. Breakfasr served was just right and wished we could have stayed a few more days but were enroute back hoem to Kenya. We will definitley be back when Hermanus is not so busy as it was during our visit.
Very little to dislike and hope it stays that way

Friendliness, hospitality of staff. Location and open planning/space of reception areas. Tidiness and size of room. Lovely garden and well kept outside and relaxation areas. All in all, one of the best. Very homely.
No drinking glasses in room for water or even to solve a tablet in water.Shower drainage not good.

We were in room one, which is the best, having wonderful views over the sea and well equipped. The decor throughout the hotel was stylish, bright and fresh. The linen was excellent, the service good and the breakfast very good without being remarkable. Staff were most helpful and particularly accommodating in arranging for us to have a base once we had checked out of our room -which was so helpful, although we appreciate not always possible. The location right on the cliff path is superb. We would return.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff was helpful in arranging our whale watching tour. The hotel is close to a fine coastal path for walks. I can't wait to come back 😊

Acomfortable lodge whichwe enjoyed. The breakfast quality could be improved and likewise the room facilities. But we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We did think it was over priced and discovered while there we could have had a cheaper deal with a direct booking.
The pricing thing mentioned above.

Perfect beach house setting with a luxury touch. Appreciated the beautiful decor and fine artworks.
Not so much the Lodge itself but the local Hermanus restaurants were of a very poor quality for dinners in the evening (as Abalone does not have a dinner restaurant)
